@KB3001: ...and I, Sir, have seen the light lol

I can only hope that the Queen reads the Sheffield Star and is contemplating my Knighthood as we speak :-)

@Garcia: Should we expect to see you in another press release in 2013?

These things always take me by surprise, but I'm not expecting anything else to happen in 2013 ... fingers crossed that 2014 is a GREAT year for all of us !!!

Very nice Max!! I can feel from Spain how proud your mum is right now at Sheffield ;-)

By the way, in the last six months you have been covered in the media twice -- Max profiled in Circuit Cellar magazine.

Should we expect to see you in another press release in 2013?

@Caleb: Maybe we could erect a 30 story tall statue of you somewhere to solidify this position?

That's the first sensible thing you've said all day (LOL)

@Henry: Oh wait, she hasn't had any new tech issues for me since my brother moved back to het town.

Have you heard from him recently -- or is he 100% occupied round at your mom's? LOL

Phew! Saves me send the number to her! So GLAD you're her speed dial. I guess that means no more early morning/late night question about Windows and Windows apps. Now I can just have normal chit-chat with her ... Oh wait, she hasn't had any new tech issues for me since my brother moved back to het town.

Here in Boston, statues are only of people from the revolution, sports figures, and ducklings.

A statue of Bill Russell was unveiled just a short time ago.

Hi Max

Doesn't the world realise that Sheffield is home to the world snooker championship at The Crucible?
http://www.sheffieldtheatres.co.uk/about/news/news/world-snooker-championship-2014/

Unlike the US "World Series", snooker players from AROUND THE WORLD are invited to compete. I looked up World Series on Wikipedia and it started with "The World Series is the annual championship series of North American-based Major League Baseball".

Enough said...

As data rates begin to move beyond 25 Gbps channels, new problems arise. Getting to 50 Gbps channels might not be possible with the traditional NRZ (2-level) signaling. PAM4 lets data rates double with only a small increase in channel bandwidth by sending two bits per symbol. But, it brings new measurement and analysis problems. Signal integrity sage Ransom Stephens will explain how PAM4 differs from NRZ and what to expect in design, measurement, and signal analysis.
