Its an interesting permutation of advantages and disadvantages for an oscillator technology. It is a clear winner for shock and vibe. Phase noise and jitter seems mediocre for a device targeted towards markets that consider 'activity dips'. Size is excellent, but not much of a consideration for those markets. Manufacturability and cost are predicted to be very uncertain due to the unusual and immature semiconductor processing and materials combinations. Can they manufacture something this unusual with econonomy of scale and reliablity? As for an engineering science project, its super-cool!

These devices are usually small, resource-constrained electronics designed to sense, collect, send, and/or interpret data. Some of the devices need to be smart enough to act upon data in real time, 24/7. Specifically the guests will discuss sensors, security, and lessons from IoT deployments.
