It seems to me the move will expand the horizon of ARM to support more smart application. Typically, similar result can be achieved through sales and marketing effort. Unless there are some interesting IP, I don't see a lot of reason to support the acquisition. Kinnar, I'm with you. Any insights are welcomed.
ARM innovates, it may be the disruptor which will give Intel a really good fight. No one is talking of the second-fiddle AMD. ARM is very innovative and clearly have a strategy to innovate and develop tools that will in the future
Global Lighting term will be useful at application level environment, it will not put any thing more than a few computational overhead and they do have sufficient signal processing supporting computational power. We will have to wait to find a word about this acquisition from ARM.
