@TarraTarra!  Yes, and I actually use it sometimes!  I don't have Susan's email address and though I could probably get it, I rarely chat with her to this length.  So you'll just have to put up with my blather occasionally :-)

The article was thin on specs - what frequency, features, power? I believe ST will use this to promote its fab technology. I would be curious on how this SOI technology compares with bulk TSMC/GloFlo.

@Susan, no, just give it to Caleb.....I have a couple of dev boards that I have not even got around to powering up yet....including an ST Discovery board which I bought to do the recent MCU course.  And the Caption comps always do well when there is an extra prize.

As I keep telling everyone, I need to win the lotto and retire, so I have time for the interesting stuff.....

Oh cool. I'm glad it sounds interesting. Yes, my fingers are crossed -- er, holding thumbs(?). If you do think you'll make it to EE Live, i'll keep the kit for you. Otherwise I'll give it Caleb for caption contest. Thanks!

@Susan....I just had a look at the specs and it's an awesome board.  With all that I/O and speed, the sky's the limit.  But I don't even know C yet - I'm still playing with Picaxes in Basic - but what an incentive to learn C......

Hope to see you at EELive - be good to put faces to all the names - but not 100% sure I'll make it yet, hold thumbs.....

I would if were in the US, they don't like sending stuff to Aussies   (I think that started some years ago when we won the Americas Cup :-)  But as I am planning on coming to EELive, he could keep it for me....

But I have to win the comp first, and there is always stiff competition.....

As data rates begin to move beyond 25 Gbps channels, new problems arise. Getting to 50 Gbps channels might not be possible with the traditional NRZ (2-level) signaling. PAM4 lets data rates double with only a small increase in channel bandwidth by sending two bits per symbol. But, it brings new measurement and analysis problems.
