TIA, Tx FIR, Rx CTLE, Rx CTLE DFE, EOL, PNA, DFE, ESF, EDF,

TIA  transimpedance amplifier

Tx Transmitter

FIR Finite Impulse Filter

Rx Receiver

CTLE Continuous time linear filter, Continuous Time Linear Estimation 

DFE Decision feedback estimator

ESF and EDF source and directivity match cal.  This is confusing because all books and references use slightly different names for error box errors.

 

WRT can provide copies of our papers, you can also purchase papers through UBM.

The VNA can vectorially subtract S-parameters, also can use Matlab.    Make sure you save all 3 S-parameter files in directory however.

Harmonic sampling is equal frequency increments, including the point at D.C. (which the VNA does not measure!).

 

So, Harmonics sampling would be 

 

0Hz, 25MHz (Fstart), 50MHz, 75MHz,...., 40GHz (Fstop).

We also discuss this in detail for next week DesignCon paper "Managing S-parameters", which will be available on our website.
