You are right, when telecom carriers are taking interest in this it will be surely a major opening of earning revenues, but I do not think there is that much vacuum in enterprise networks for carriers, as they already have very nice and developed enterprise networks.
The first thing that popped into my mind when reading this was control of the dynamic networking in white space networks. This looks like an excellent control plane for that, given the appropriate abstraction of the radio networks. Do they have any plans for this?
