IMO, communications and sensory are crucial to human life if that's what you're wondering.

New things cannot come back to back non-stop.  You've got to give people the time to digest these new technologies.  While existing technology matures, it's a chance for other areas (in connection to it) to grow.  Humanity and Technology should grow together hand in hand, not racing each other.


I hope you do give your stomach time to digest your food? ;)

@AZskibum, you're right. And I think we are all feeling that way. In an interesting twist of things, though, in writing this story, it really dawned on me that the smartphone platform battle itself may be winding down.

There would be more consolidation in the telecom industries as it becomes more and more less innovative. 

@elctrnx_lyf, I agree with you. Infact this consolidation will help the companies to concentrate on innovation rather than invest their time and energy in fighting the patent battles.

I'm sure they continue to focus on innovation and the next big thing while they pursue legal action and go after one another in these prolonged battles.

It's about time the legal battles started winding down. With less uncertainty, both financial and technical, both companies can focus on innovative new products.

The coverage of next 10 years of patents is effectively restrictive for Google if Samsung is the main Android manufacturer.
