I was also sad when APP was stopped, there was a lot of interesting stuff and a lot coming up, neuronal networks from a PHD student for example and last but not least your chess playing FPGA (what are your plans there). I think Big Max did an outstanding job on APP and I guess without him it wouldn't have even existed. We should be all very thankful for all the friendships he built with his work on APP. So thank you again, Max.
@DrFPGA: Keep posting these gems from APP. So much good content, we can't let just let it drift off into the Ether...
I agree -- and I haven't forgotten your contributions -- it's just that I'm bringing them over by hand one at a time (many of the articles contained links and cross-references to other articles that have to be changes, and the images are a different size on EE Times, and ... arrgghhh :-)
