@Max: I love the way you always introduce some tidbits of trivia in your blog posts ;-)
"A petard was a small container of gunpowder used to blow breaches in gates or walls."
In Spain, we use the word "petardo" for the little toy fireworks that looks like a tiny TNT/gunpowder barrel. When I was a child, buying some "petardos" was really easy and cheap; of course, nowadays there are a lot of laws banning this kind of "toys".
@Maxthemagnificent Don't forget that we're recruiting participants for the third annual Gadget Smackdown! at EE Live!, one of our most popular events that tends to descend into chaous and silliness. Even before the beer.
As we unveil EE Times’ 2015 Silicon 60 list, journalist & Silicon 60 researcher Peter Clarke hosts a conversation on startups in the electronics industry. Panelists Dan Armbrust (investment firm Silicon Catalyst), Andrew Kau (venture capital firm Walden International), and Stan Boland (successful serial entrepreneur, former CEO of Neul, Icera) join in the live debate.
