As always the expectation will be of cost effectiveness and the power trendiness, as per the announcement on the Altair website it is said to be ultralow power consuming device. It is nice for those devices who are already using Altair 3800 series for implementing LTE, they will be able to support Category 6 throughputs (up to 300Mbps).
