Thanks Cabe for providing your point of view on interesting tech in winter. I am thankful to you actually to tell me what curling is as a sport. The most interesting tech that i find is the high speed camera that give the best images in slow motion...terrific images.

Page 6 "Sometimes new technology can hinder an athlete's performance, even when competing in the Olympics." Maybe Team USA might have been better off with a Catwoman/Batman suit. (probably not)

But all in all Kudos to Russia and Putin for this breath taking Magnus Opum. So much of work and so wonderful result. I love Sochi.

Photron is a amazing design, we can say it is specially made for Olympics the slow motions from this camera will be really astonishing. Yes there will still be many applications using the technologies at its extent at this kind of international events. It would be really hard to count.

As data rates begin to move beyond 25 Gbps channels, new problems arise. Getting to 50 Gbps channels might not be possible with the traditional NRZ (2-level) signaling. PAM4 lets data rates double with only a small increase in channel bandwidth by sending two bits per symbol. But, it brings new measurement and analysis problems.
