"pain processor"? Is that a processor which handles the processing of pain so the user does not experience it? Or is it a processor that generates pain? ☺

From the context (now hard to see), I would say that the "timing-critical and core-intensive tasks" are painful for the processor, so much so that you get a loud yelp from the watchdog timer.

Hey Max, could you restore the original "pain processor" and strike out "pain" -- i.e., "pain main processor" -- so that others can share in the fun?

That is very interesting news. Are these devices UL approved and listed. Finally, this counts most. If you employ them and UL is not happy, you may have to redesign product. So UL listing is most importnat.

These devices are not UL listed at this time. But its something we'll evaluate if we think it'll be an added benefit to the customer.

As data rates begin to move beyond 25 Gbps channels, new problems arise. Getting to 50 Gbps channels might not be possible with the traditional NRZ (2-level) signaling.
