If demand for electric energy will be this high, Germany should look back on nuclear energy options. It may look more sustainable.

NO RATINGS
Nuclear energy generation is a capital intensive activity and it also requires a lot of safety related measures to be taken. Nuclear energy stations cannot be located in the heart of cities or on desnsely populated areas because of the possible radiation hazard.

I think Germany has taken a very wise decision to do away with Nuclear energy in light of the infamous Fukushima incident in Japan.

Alternate energy sources like wind energy, solar energy and bio-fuel are the best energy generation options  in my opinion.

In the context of a strongly regulated aviation industry, "self-flying" drones pose a fresh challenge. How safe is it to fly drones in different environments? Should drones be required for visual line of sight – as are piloted airplanes? Join EE Times' Junko Yoshida as she moderates a panel of drone experts.
