@DrFPGA I agree - github isn't trivial when getting started. It solves lots of tough problems though, and is a powerful tool for Makers with experience, so it is a good foundation. We've considered integrating a browser for publicly available Kinoma Platform Runtime code into Kinoma Studio, to make it more accessible. Have you seen any good models for an interface that would be easier for a novice DIYer? I like the very visual catalogs of 3D model images (e.g. http://www.thingiverse.com/newest), but code isn't as intrinsically visual.
Sharing via github is a good first step. Hopefully sharing will become popular enough that you can create your own community site to drive the DIY model to an even wider audience. I find github to be daunting for the just getting started DIYer, but maybe thats a minority view...
@alex_ma I'm looking forward to seeing what makers create - the touch screen alone opens up many possiblities. Good question on the "distribution channel fit for makers." That's something my team is working on, so it is easy to move beyond the Kinoma Create prototype.
