Intersil has sucked up, chewed up,  and spat out many companies. The one I was working for was Sicom and DigitalOcean. Sad but true.

@Jessica: Outside of Mobile and Enterprise (read: Datacenters!), one area where there may be an opportunity is in DC power if that ever becomes a mainstay.

It is quite surprising that there is absolutely no mention of products Intersil inherited via Quellan acquisition (http://ubm.io/OHUzEo). Has Intersil written that off?

Reading the article gives me an impression that Intersil is only interested in its core competency of power management. Digital power management that is one of emphasized topics above may be an opportunity but I think Intersil has a lot catchup with other players.
