@kfield: I think there is more risk for the ladies getting your cooties than vice versa.

In their dreams -- they should be so lucky!

@maxthemagnificent "But doesn't this expose me to catching female cooties?"

@kfield: I really like the concept I've seen popping up lately that a single-stall toilet is for both genders. It seems much more efficient than labeling one women and one men.

But doesn't this expose me to catching female cooties?

@Studleylee: I guess xxxxxxx is right out...

I know I'd get spanked if I used it.

Another one is saying something has gone "pear shaped" ... can anyone guess to what this refers?

I guess "Tits-up" is right out.............

I actually heard a guy say this back in 1999," the cpu then went 'Tits-up' and we had to reset it."

Many years back I was going through a print catalog looking for connectors.  Nowhere was "male/female" mentioned, the descriptions were all "plug/socket".  Totally confusing

I used to work for an organization that marked its bathrooms (washrooms/toilets/water closets etc - please select your personal favourite) as "plugs" and "sockets".

God/Goddess help us if "they" ever learn about male/female connectors.

Maybe I'm an old fossil but I think this is all hot air.  Most people don't care.  A few years ago, this was a hot topic.  At the time I read a book (I think it was SF) and the misguided author used s/he throughout to be politically correct.  It was a torture to read.  Remember the uproar over the term master/slave as used in computing?  I thought engineers were above such silliness.

God/Goddess help us if "they" ever learn about male/female connectors.

As data rates begin to move beyond 25 Gbps channels, new problems arise. Getting to 50 Gbps channels might not be possible with the traditional NRZ (2-level) signaling. PAM4 lets data rates double with only a small increase in channel bandwidth by sending two bits per symbol. But, it brings new measurement and analysis problems. Signal integrity sage Ransom Stephens will explain how PAM4 differs from NRZ and what to expect in design, measurement, and signal analysis.
