Running a website from a flash drive doesn't seem to be that much of a breakthrough. Since you have to be connected to the Internet for it to work, you could instead upload the changes to the cloud hosted website. That way the web site would still work even when the computer was turned off. [And I have no idea what the load implications are for the laptop and the USB if they are hosting the website.]
