How high can a drone ("atmospheric satellite") fly without interfering with aviation or regulatory issues? At that altitude, how wide a geographical area would receive WiFi coverage? It sounds like this technology would be best for adding coverage to a specific remote location but not for adding coverage to a continuous large area. I see the drone can prove routing and connecting capabilities between devices within a remote area but how does the drone connect to the world wide internet?
What are the engineering and design challenges in creating successful IoT devices? These devices are usually small, resource-constrained electronics designed to sense, collect, send, and/or interpret data. Some of the devices need to be smart enough to act upon data in real time, 24/7. Specifically the guests will discuss sensors, security, and lessons from IoT deployments.
