Yes the way IoT has beend formulated, its quite evident that software embedded engineers have to keep updating the features in their software code every now and then and may be they have keep coding from whereever they can, not necessarily from office or home. It can be shopping mall, movie theatres, restaurants, holiday places etc.
As our lives become more and more busy, we lose patience for managing the trivial. Managing updates to countless IoT devices is going to become problematic as I previously noted at 'Thingularity' Triggers Security Warnings' (http://www.eetimes.com/document.asp?doc_id=1321737, April 2, 2014). I suspect that failed and inaccurate devices will become commonplace. I believe the IoT designers need to devote serious effort to reliable and seamless software update protocols for their devices. With luck, their successful solutions will be migrated to personal computers and improve their reliability as well.
