Perceptions are more powerful than reality. And there are so many contradictory research so it is nearly impossible to know the whole truth. I am just putting my opinions about the CNTs and most of them are based on what i hear or read.
To protect against the inadvertant inhalation of these nano materials while in the manufacturing process is quite tricky as the filters required need to be of supernano size.
Are such filters available?
We have been mining diatomacious earth here in the US for many years. Small particles can be easily inhaled into the lungs, providing a high surface area place for nasty things to happen. From what I've read, the carcinogenicity of CNT's are essentially similar..
I am surprised to read this article about the production of CNT and Graphene in tonns and the increasing usagage of these materials. Alteast CNT is arguably carcinogenic so their use in that quantity is not good for environment.
