The light in question (I assume) is the traffic light rather than a battery indicator light.

Setting that aside, it seems like this is also a useful part for battery-driven low energy designs. Does anyone know how it compares to the status reported by smart batteries? Are there any possibilities in that area in addition to this automotive application?

What should the user do if the light is not green? Should he just wait in middle of the road till it turns green.
