Yes, Anand's review shows the 6700T beating both Z3770 and Z7340 by a good margin on CPU performance (except PC mark). On GPU performance there is no contest of course.
What is more interesting though is power efficiency - despite using 28nm it seems close to BT power while being faster. So it looks like AMD has done a good job catching up and produced a competitive tablet/laptop SoC.
The ARM core handles the platform security processor function. That's the bit of logic in the second graphic labled PSP. The PSP has its own cryptographic engine and runs ARM's TrustZone software ecosystem to lock down key code as "trusted applications" and provide a secure boot facility. It also includes a 128-core Radeon graphics unit.

This performance has a cost: +50% more TDP, 2X idle power vs BT.
This SOC is not done for tiny tablets unfortunately, the high power draw in idle state is a disaster in a world of ARM and x86 SOCs with a 0.2-0.3W power figure in standby. AMD wasn't able to match a standard, this will means a little success in Tablet market.
AMD announce another APU. They announced "Kaveri" in early January with product available the same month. In reality the AMD A8-7600 (the part that does what it wsays on the tin and has lower power consumption) won't be available before the second half of 2014.
So when will 'Puma' be in the shops? 2016 maybe?
AMD should stop making exciting announcements and start delivering some product!
