I read the Embarcados interview today and it has some wonderful material and insights about FPGAs and why they are used (and not used).  Here's that link again if you missed it: Embarcados interview: Clive "Max" Maxfield

@calasus40: ...and of course you can't forget the brazilian steakhouses. There is a reason why they have lunches for 2 or more hours...

My mouth is watering at the thought of it...

Brazil is a fun place to visit depending on where you go. The more developed and tourist type spots will be fairly upkept unlike where I was. The juices for breakfast are very good and of course you can't forget the brazilian steakhouses. There is a reason why they have lunches for 2 or more hours. Try not to over eat.

Just remember to say "cerveza" which means beer. Enjoy.

@David: You better polish up your Portuguese Max, that's what they speak there.

I was planning on giving my presentation in mime to spice up the proceedings a little LOL

You better polish up your Portuguese Max, that's what they speak there.

Here's a handy phrase for starters:

"Meu hovercraft está cheio de enguias"

Max asked: I wonder where they will end up placing my statue?

Too little notice to make you a statue, but in your honor they're going to put a giant Hawaiian shirt on this famous statue :-)  Too bad you'll miss it unless you take a side trip to Rio.

@Pablo: Are you based in the UK?

No, I moved from England to Huntsville, Alabama, 24 years ago (I came for the nightlife ... that's a little Alabama joke right there :-)

Good, they won't see you coming until you get there!

Are you based in the UK?

@MeasurementBlues: I will not substitute bacon for bagels.

No one ever said anything about substituting bacon for bagels -- just that adding bacon (perhaps with a few chives or green onions) on top of the cream cheese transforms a humble bagel into a culinary masterpiece ... I'm drooling just thinking about it (or maybe I'm just drooling)
