Is it a right step?

I am not a person of commerce, but coming out of a very well established business model this way I do not think is a right step.

May be Renesas will be having some more detailed business plans better than this already developed business.

If i remember correctly then last year itself there was some fund created to keep the company and technology alive. In coming time, companies are focusing more on LED and OLED based display technologies but i think LCD display demand is still quite high.

Oh yes, maybe you are right, but there is actually no difference between the drivers of LCDs and LEDs only the back-lit lamps are getting changed in two different technologies. So it is some other reason being going out of the business, the article suggest that Renesas is coming out to focus on the Embedded Systems and Control their main area in the field of Electronics.
