"Remote monitoring and testing are state-of-the-art today, in particular in development and test environments,.."

I agree that remote monitoring and testing would gain more and more popularities and the smart phone would play a major role in that as it would provide a great amount of flexibility & convenience to the people travelling and/or working remotely. I won't need to be anxious in the weekends when there is a test running in the lab, if I get the test data & status on my phone.

If so, then all LXI compatible instruments are now IoT compatible, I guess.

The nice thing about using a web server instead of an app is that it should work with anything: phone, tablet, laptap, desktop,...

I don't have an urgent need to use this technology...just curious...you would think across any platform...I could see that option used extensively....people in meetings could review lab tests in real time

What are the engineering and design challenges in creating successful IoT devices? These devices are usually small, resource-constrained electronics designed to sense, collect, send, and/or interpret data. Some of the devices need to be smart enough to act upon data in real time, 24/7. Specifically the guests will discuss sensors, security, and lessons from IoT deployments.
