I can't imagine NI building anything that won;t work with LabView. I'll investigate for my hands-on review, if I ever complete it.

I think the Red Pitaya will have more impact.  OK, it's not a direct competitor, but it's way cheaper and way more innovative, and now has a big distributor behind it (RS/Allied).

@KrEn1 Try $ 2000, nearly.  This I got from the EDN link at the bottom of this article.  I'll repeat the comment I left there:

This is VERY nice compared to the Mydaq that I already have - the MyDaq is mainly intended for teaching and is woefully inadequate for any serious work. But it is only $99. There is the Analog Discovery which is similar but with much more useful specs at around the same price. Much as I would love one of these, I can't afford nearly $2K :-((

Price? <1000$ ? Any further specs out there?

Fine for a fixed tabletop lab, but I doubt one can develop further. LabView?

Garanteed you will NEVER find the IPAD anywhere near this piece of equipment.

Odds are you will never find the IPAD period.

...iPAD come with it?

Anyway, I'm partial to knobs.  They're natural, dedicated and quick to adjust.  BUT, if the price is right and the HMI was nice, I could maybe go for something like this.
