@tom,

Whiel renovating my house we made many many changes along the way.Drive the contractor crazy. They had to rebuild the upper tun on the new staircase because my wife didn't feel safe walking down. The bottom of the staircase has a turn but that was OK. No drawing can give you the feel of something.

The architect has a steadier hand than do I.

@MeasurementBlues: Hand drawings? Are you for real?

    They were good enough for Leonardo da Vinci

When we did our home renovation, I made several drawings for the contractor using the draw program that comes with OpenOffice.

    I'm not sure I trust these new-fangled computers.

The architect did his entire design by hand.

    I'm not sure you're re-inforcing your argument here...

    You used a computer -- your architect and I drew by hand...

What? Nooooooo!

You realize, of course, that you are volunteering to do all this in real life, right?

That means carrying all that heavy stuff back from the hardware store, digging the pathways, laying the stone, all while the missus tells you "no, I think that should go over there, instead"...

Right?

Be careful, me bucko, you're asking for an achy back...

@alex_m1: Max my advice to you is this: Build this model in computer in 3d , and let your wife enjoy her garden using the occulus rift.

Not a bad idea about the model, but she'll have to get her own Oculus Rift -- when I get one, you'll have to pry it from my cold, lifeless hands LOL

@alex_m1: What better excuse than that to get a rift ?

I don't need an excuse -- there is one out there (in the future) with my name  on it LOL
