@Sanjib.A: thanks for for the kind words. I'll consider your suggestion about holding answers to the next week. In the meantime, if you'd like to submit a question, feel free. martin.rowe@ubm.com

@Martin: This is a lovely series of questions helping in refreshing the basics!! Please consider this as a suggestion...why don't you keep the answers secret till the next post?

@David,

Thanks for taking the quiz. I can talk more aout the question on page 4 but not yet for it would give away the answer on the comments. Maybe next week. I have enough questions in store for about two weeks. Questions are relatively easy to get. there are plenty of technical articles fromt eh old EE Times on the site and even more on EDN.

Thanks Martin, did not get them all right but (as always) learned something in the process.

NEXT UPCOMING BROADCAST
In conjunction with unveiling of EE Times’ Silicon 60 list, journalist & Silicon 60 researcher Peter Clarke hosts a conversation on startups in the electronics industry. One of Silicon Valley's great contributions to the world has been the demonstration of how the application of entrepreneurship and venture capital to electronics and semiconductor hardware can create wealth with developments in semiconductors, displays, design automation, MEMS and across the breadth of hardware developments. But in recent years concerns have been raised that traditional venture capital has turned its back on hardware-related startups in favor of software and Internet applications and services. Panelists from incubators join Peter Clarke in debate.
