@Garcia: Wow! I've taken a look to the Protium platform and it's a really impressive tool!

Thsi class of tool really is amazing -- back in the mid 1980s the company I was working for developed a simple emulator / hardware accelerator -- but FPGAs had only just come on the scene and we never even thought of them in this context.

Wow! I've taken a look to the Protium platform and it's a really impressive tool!

When I was involved in ASIC design -- less than ten years ago --, I used Cadence products to design the layout, but I needed standard FPGA kits to test the HDL before getting into real custom silicon.

I would love to have the opportunity of using this fully integrated tool now!
