So the next generation immersive virtual reality experience runs on a Cortex M3?

I am assuming this must attach to a turbo charged PC.

@rick definetly. When the recommended specs call for a gpu that can run "3D games at 1080p resolution at 75fps or higher."" ,which is reality is at least a gtx770(a $300 gpu , high end, 250 Watt)  the only choice a is using a desktop pc.

The SEM TI 39 SE 51 is not a Texas Instruments Inverter. It's a Samsung chip, though I don't know what it is.

Do you notice this firm used more than ten vendors in this product? That is truly brilliant to not been tethered to anyone. But I guess in future, they may need more integration of some of the parts.

It's interesting how Oculus handled the chassis ground. I'm guessing the gold trace around the edge of the board with all the vias is for shielding but it doesn't tie to any of the connector shields.

As data rates begin to move beyond 25 Gbps channels, new problems arise. Getting to 50 Gbps channels might not be possible with the traditional NRZ (2-level) signaling. PAM4 lets data rates double with only a small increase in channel bandwidth by sending two bits per symbol. But, it brings new measurement and analysis problems.
