@Susan: Signing off on such a thing is above my pay grade, Max!

Be brave! It's easier to beg forgiveness than it is to ask permission LOL

@Susan: ...what would you rather have: a ultra sleek Theremini or the joy of making one yourself?

I've already had the joy of making one myself -- now I'l like to play with one that works (LOL), so if you're offering to buy me one I'll take the ultra sleek Theremini :-)

@Susan: When you get your Theremini (and I'm sure it will end up in your office...er..."Pleasure Dome"), you could post a short video comment with you playing it.

I think EE Times should buy me one for research purposes -- I could do a tear-down (said Max, hopefully :-)

@David: I hope you'll soon be posting a video of you playing that on your Ukelele, multi-tracked on the PSoC Theremin?

Hope springs eternal...

@David: The song where most of use first heard a Theremin (though we may not have realised it at the time, I didn't) was the Beach Boys "Good Vibrations".

I had no idea -- I'll have to listen to it again as soon as I get a spare moment.

The vast majority of the embedded designers I know typically create MCU-based systems -- they rarely even consider using a Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA).

Like many of you, I was saddened to hear the news of Leonard Nimoy's death. His Star Trek character Mr. Spock was an inspiration to many of us who entered technical fields.
