Long tongue...
David Ashton   8/21/2014 7:50:45 AM
Purely for interest, how many readers can get their tongue nearly down to their chin like that?  I tried and get less than half way.  Then again, his tongue does look a bit silvery....maybe that's why he has done so well.... :-)

Rewind 10 years!
docdivakar   8/20/2014 3:46:11 PM
It was approximately a decade ago that Ballmer / Gates became the victims of a humorous punchline from Sun's McNealy:

Now it seems like Steve Ballmer and Bill Gates can have the last laugh from the "Ballmer and Butthead" characterization! Sun has set, MSoft is still alive and kicking (& paying dividends on its stock) and Ballmer owns a ball club!

@Jessica: I doubt if Satya Nadella is going to radically change MSoft's direction. One thing to be sure is that under Nadella, the company seems to be acting on the reality that the future connected devices will not need anything like Windows, for that matter even Android (except for SmartPhones and Tablets) and is taking steps to address it. Some of my friends in the Silicon Valley working at MSoft have dropped a few hints on this but not much is yet known.

A clash in vision?
Jessica Lipsky   8/20/2014 11:40:00 AM
Other reports have suggested that Ballmer was uneasy about the direction Nadella is taking the company, alling the new sports owner a "Microsoft first man" unlike the new CEO, who will move the company in different directions. What do you think?

Autonomous vehicles on our roads soon? What could go wrong with that? Listen in as EE Times' Junko Yoshida asks industry experts what the intended and unintended consequences will be.
