@Antedelivian: OK Go do pretty good videos. This apparently is their latest. Not as good as "This Too Shall Pass" but some really good visuals especially towards the end.

I agree, I really like this one, but This Too Shall Pass always captivates me -- I know which one I will watch again and again...

@Anand: This video was rumored to be shot with the help of a Green Screen...

Silly rumors LOL

My understanding is that -- as you say -- he was a software developer (in Australia I think). He saved up all his money and went on a tour of the world. He did his little dance in each place he visited and emailed the videos to his friends. His friends put them on the Internet without him knowing, and they went viral.

When he returned home -- some chewing gum company (Stride, I think) offered to sponsor him to do it all again, but this time with a good camera and someone who knew how to use it to take the videos -- this is the video shown here from 2008

I personally cannot watch this without it making me feel happy :-)

This video was rumored to be shot with the help of a Green Screen but the maker of the video has proved that he really has been to all of these places. I heard he used to be a video game developer then after he quit he did something with his life, and that video made him a brand ambassador of a product I don't seem to remember. This is a very powerful video. I also like the baby dancing to Single Ladies by Beyonce.

Like many of you, I was saddened to hear the news of Leonard Nimoy's death. His Star Trek character Mr. Spock was an inspiration to many of us who entered technical fields.
