Bottle neck of 5G

A lot of 802.11ac or 802.11ad WiFi routers are available in the market. However, the headache problem is the speed of the WAN. A Dual WAN or even Multi-WAN routers are needed. As expected on Dual WAN router is the capability of load balancing routing service. The key players of the 5G solution, like Intel, Broadcom and QualComm should focus on the load balancing routing service in the 5G modem chip set as well. Otherwise, the bottle neck of the 5G modem is limited to 1 Gbps only.

In some countries or cities, the fiber network WAN service becomes affordable nowadays. 2 or more fiber optics from two or more Internet Service Providers (ISP) does not cost too much. For home users and small business runners, multi-ISP with load balancing service can improve the network performance and reduce the service down time.

2.5G/5G/10G N-Base-T network system can help to improve the bottle neck problem. But it cannot help on the accident on the ISP. If the ISP or the WAN channel got trouble, the internet service would be stopped. Multi- WAN solution can resolve this problem.

Correct. TSMC refers to its process as a 16nm one.

I assume this modem is made in Intel's own fab, not by TSMC.
