LONDON Materials supplier DuPont Electronic Technologies has said it has increased prices by up to 20 percent with effect from June 16.
DuPont Electronic Technologies supplies a variety of electronic materials, including materials for the fabrication and packaging of semiconductors, materials for rigid and flexible circuits, and materials for advanced displays. The company said rising raw material, transportation and energy costs were among its reasons for the increase.
"Due to the record rise in raw material, transportation, energy and other costs, we must pass increases along to our customers," said Timothy McCann, vice president and general manager of DuPont Electronic Technologies, in a statement. "We have offset cost increases as much as possible with improvements in efficiency, productivity and other internal actions; however, we simply cannot continue to absorb the current increases and invest in our future without some effect on price."
