The wait wasn't without some wheeling and dealing.

The analysts arrived at around 3:30 a.m. local time Friday (July 11) to find 17 people on line. They feared a possible iPhone shortage since some bloggers had warned of retaliation by Apple over negative stories about service provider Rogers Canada and its data rate plans.

Not wanting to come home empty-handed and hearing about a young entrepreneur who was willing to sell his No. 2 spot in the line, the analysts made their move from the back of the line. About 5 hours later, an iPhone was purchased.
