Samsung invests in Fusion-io

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- South Korea's Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. has invested in Fusion-io, a supplier of enterprise solid-state storage (SSD) technologies.

The two companies have also agreed to jointly evaluate technology for new SSD applications.

"In securing these agreements, Samsung is furthering its working relationship with Fusion-io," said Jim Elliott, vice president of memory marketing at Samsung Semiconductor Inc., in a statement.

Fusion-io is a provider of enterprise solid-state technology and high-performance I/O solutions.
