Intel rolls out 1.3-GHz Celeron based on 0.13-micron process |

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Intel Corp. today released its fastest Celeron microprocessor to date--a 1.3-GHz chip, based on its 0.13-micron process technology.
The new 1.3-GHz Celeron is Intel's fastest offering for the price-sensitive desktop PC market segment. In 1,000-unit quantities, the new chip is priced at $118.
Until now, Intel's fastest Celeron ran at 1.2-GHz. It also offers chips that run at 1.1- and 1-GHz, and 950-, 900-, 850- and 800-MHz. All chip are based on a 100-MHz system bus.
