TAIPEI, Taiwan -- Taiwan's Via Technologies Inc. here today announced revenues of NT$ 2.15 billion (US$ 61.6 million) for the month of December, a 7% drop from the like period a year ago.
Via also posted sales of NT$34.2 billion (US$ 976 million) for 2001, a 10.4% increase over NT$30.9 billion (US$884 million) in 2000.
The company, which did not announce its earnings, attributed the 2001 revenue growth to its PC chip set products. "The increase of over 10% on last year shows that Via is still performing strongly despite tough market conditions," said Richard Brown, director of marketing for Via of Taipei.
