Innovative Semiconductors' VIP cores adhere to the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) specification for the interface between graphics controllers and video devices. As a universal standard, VIP ensures compatibility, cost-effectiveness and high performance, and enables semiconductor designers to cut development costs and time-to-market.

The latest version, VIP2, supports demanding applications such as HDTV while maintainingbackward compatibility.

In addition to supporting VESA VIP, Innovative's products include cores that support the IEEE-1394 standard, the Universal Serial Bus (USB) standard and Video Compression.
