Thanks to available bandwdith and new security needs, local police forces in the US were scrapping the "10-code" system of communication in favor of what they are now calling "plain text." What's next on the chopping block?

Tektronix, Inc. announced its Tek UWB WiMedia2 software which extends the ultra wideband (UWB) debug and analysis capabilities of the Tektronix DSA70000, DPO70000 and TDS6000C series to include real-time analysis of UWB RF and electrical signals.
M/A-COM introduces PAs for point-to-point radios

M/A-COM has introduced a line of power amplifiers (PAs) for point-to-point radios that cover allocated point-to-point bands from 2.5 to 19.7GHz. Optimized for linearity and high gain, this family of PAs produces power levels ranging from 1 to 2W over various frequency bands.
