Die Entwicklung zu immer kleineren Chipstrukturen ist in Gefahr: Sollen die 45-nm-Design-Rules der Industrie rechzeitig zur Verfügung stehen, so muß die Kommunikation unter den Beteiligten schleunigst verbessert werden -- und zwar sowohl interdisziplinär wie überregional. Gegenüber der EE Times führte ein Verterter des belgischen Forschungsinstituts IMEC Klage über die Sprachlosigkeit unter den Wissenschaftlern.
