ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Performance Technologies Inc. has designed a suite of single-board computers and platforms to comply with the PICMG 2.16 specifications. The products, arising from the acquisition of Intel's Ziatech Computing Products Group in September, include the Ziatech ZT 5088e general-purpose platform, ZT 5085e redundant-host platform and ZT 5524e board computer.
The ZT 5088e, a 12U general-purpose PICMG 2.16 platform, supports compute-intensive applications and is configurable for up to 18 independent servers communicating over PICMG 2.16, Ethernet or I/O-based applications. Equipped with single or redundant 10/100/1,000 IPnexus switching-fabric options, redundant chassis management modules, and redundant power and cooling architectures, it boasts "five nines" (99.999 percent) reliability.
The ZT 5085e, also a 12U platform, supports a redundant-host architecture for I/O-intensive applications, to allow active/active or active/standby system master configuration with low-latency application failover (less than 30 milliseconds). Pricing for the ZT 5088e or ZT 5085e is $11,917.
The ZT 5524e high-performance SBC has single or dual 933-MHz Pentium III processors, up to 4 Gbytes of SDRAM and 512 kbytes of Level 2 cache. The single-processor version sells for $2,995 and the dual-processor version is priced at $3,295.
