NETANYA, Israel Digitaltest GmbH (St. Blankenloch, Germany) and Valor Computerized Systems Ltd. (Yavne, Israel) have established a technology partnership to deliver software for assembly and test planning by offering integration between C-Link, Digitaltest's design-to-test softwar, and vPlan, Valor's process engineering software.
Valor's vPlan encapsulates engineering from CAD to equipement out covering surface-mount and through-hole PCB production technology and manual assembly. the integration from a common data model of C-Link and vPlan automatically allows the generation of machine-specific libraries on demand.
"The smooth integration of vPlan and C-LINK targets the increasing market demand for complete solutions," said Frank M. Völlinger, strategic manager at Digitaltest.
"Both companies have realized that a new method of extracting manufacturing and test definitions will improve the way our shared target customers do assembly," said David Bengal, Valor's corporate VP of marketing and business development.
Valor helps PCB layout designers test and validate their PCB designs prior to manufacturing. The company provides the bare-board manufacturers with CAM (Genesis) tools to plan and execute the fabrication process. Valor also assists PCB assemblers worldwide to manage their cost structure with process planning tools (vPlan) and shop-floor monitor and control software solutions (vManage). Valor is listed on the Prime Standard of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
