COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Tellabs Inc. has filed suit in the U.S. District of Northern Illinois against Fujitsu Ltd. and Fujitsu Network Communications. The lawsuit claims that Fujitsu's Flashwave product infringes on Tellabs patent 7,369,772.

The Tellabs patent covers designs used in reconfigurable optical add-drop multiplexers, or Roadms, one of the most popular products in the optical transport sector. Tellabs is seeking monetary damages and an injunction against further Fujitsu sales of infringing products.
