Green Hills Software, Inc. today announced that it has enhanced its Platform for Secure Wireless Devices with extended Wi-Fi security, Cisco Compatible Extensions (CCX), Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS), and new reference driver support for a number of industry-leading Wi-Fi chipsets targeting the embedded, low-power device markets. These new capabilities provide customers requiring Wi-Fi support in current and/or future products a rapid, low-risk path to satisfy wireless design requirements with a complete, proven, integrated solution.

The Green Hills Secure Wireless Devices Platform now includes:

  • Authentication Supplicant Support: provides connectivity to security enabled networks, such as IEEE 802.1X, and it is Wi-Fi WPA2-Personal and WPA2-Enterprise certifiable
  • Enterprise CCX client support: provides connectivity to Cisco enterprise networks, and features Cisco Compatible Extensions (CCX) - v3 and v4 certifiable
  • Easy Access technology/WPS Client: simplifies wireless configuration and offers Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) certifiable
  • An updated wireless reference platform: based on a COTS Atmel AT91SAM9263 reference board, it is preconfigured and integrated with INTEGRITY RTOS, reference board BSP, GHNet TCP/IP Networking Stack, GHNet SSL Client/Server, and wireless driver support for Atheros and Marvell.
