SANTA CRUZ, Calif. The Open Core Protocol International Partnership (OCP-IP) has created a listing of OCP-compliant intellectual property (IP) available at the group's web site. OCP, launched by Sonics Inc., is a standardized socket for plugging IP cores into system-on-chip designs.
The initial listing contains over 200 pieces of OCP-complaint IP. Companies featuring products include 3rdeye Technology, Advanced Architectures, Amphion Semiconductor, CAST, Denali Software, eInfochips, HDL Design House, Imagination Technologies, MIPS Technologies, Mentor Graphics, Prosilog, Sonics Inc. and Synergetic Computing Systems. Additional IP is expected to be added soon.
The listing also includes OCP-compliant EDA products from companies including Beach Solutions, Cadence Design Systems, NoBug, Prosilog, TNI-Valiosys, Verisity and YogiTech.
OCP-IP was launched in December 2001 to promote and support OCP. Steering committee members include Nokia, Texas Instruments, ST Microelectronics UMC, and Sonics. Late in October 2003, OCP-IP announced that Cadence joined the organization as a sponsor member.
