A novice FPGA user asks for our input with regard to National Instruments' LabVIEW FPGA Module.
I just received the following query with regard to LabView from National Instruments:
Hi Max, thanks for your newsletter; I enjoy reading it to see 'what's up' in the world.
In terms of ideas, I would be interested to know your thoughts on National Instruments' LabVIEW FPGA Module. As a strong LabVIEW programmer and very novice FPGA user, I am curious as to how powerful the LV FPGA Module is.
Of course the NI literature says that the toolbox is useful, but I would like to hear what other FPGA guys working in the trenches have to say about it.
Now, my knee-jerk impression is that the LabVIEW FPGA Module is rather good (I seem to recall several folks telling me about it), but I haven't used it myself, so I was hoping to receive some input from other readers...
