The Apollo Mission Control Center is now a national historical landmark. This means that they haven't changed anything. There is tape on the floor, labels are crooked, chairs are worn. It is like stepping backwards in time. The winners of the contest were allowed to explore. They could sit in the seats at the consoles, walk around and touch things, and listen to a bit of history. It was really cool to see the old technology after just witnessing how the modern system looks. The rotary dials alone were almost shocking to see.
