CP Clare Corp. has restructured the company around key product-based business units, and will change its name to Clare Inc. beginning in September.
“Today marks an exciting chapter in our history,” said Arthur R. Buckland, president and chief executive of CP Clare, Beverly, Mass. “We've made aggressive organizational changes that allow us to focus on our core vision of providing unique technologies and solutions that enable connections along the network's edge.”
The restructuring is a culmination of the company's effort to reposition itself from its traditional base as a reed-relay supplier, to an ASIC and high-voltage mixed-signal company.
CP Clare has created an integrated-circuits product group, headed by Dennis Cocco, a senior vice president who also serves as president of CP Clare Micronix.
In addition to his other duties, Buckland will manage the optically isolated solid-state relay group, which features the company's OptoMOS family of products.
The Dyad Group will remain part of the CP Clare product portfolio, and will serve the cell phone market under the direction of Bill Miller, vice president of global operations.
